When a Soldier Comes Home

Note: This content is being circulated around the world; please help us keep it going.

When a soldier comes home, they find it hard…

… to listen to their child whine about being bored.

… to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.

… to be tolerant of people who complain about getting ready for work.

… to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night's sleep.

… to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.

… to control their panic when spouses tell them they need to drive slower.

… to be compassionate when a business executive expresses a fear of flying.

… to keep from laughing when an anxious parent is afraid to send their kids off to summer camp.

… to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.

… to control their frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold.

… to remain calm when a daughter complains about having to walk the dog.

… to be civil to people who complain about their job.

… to just walk away when someone says they only get 2 weeks of vacation a year.

… to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.

The only thing harder than being a soldier…

… is loving one.

A look back @ Freedom Summit ’09 Phoenix, AZ

Isn't a wonderful feeling when you show up some place and get the immediate feeling "I'm Home!" or "This is where I belong"

Let that statement accurately describe Freedom Summit last weekend. Never could anyone imagine being so uberly informed on today's wretched affairs affecting Americans Freedom and Liberty. A wealth of information was provided at this conference, and for those that didn't make it, be sure to come out next year!

First off, we would like to thank and pledge our support to: FreedomsPhoenix.com they have/continue-to set up a super media base that freedom loving Libertarians' everywhere can utilize. And that to us is awesome. Visit FreedomsPhoenix.com to contact them. Its producer Ernie Hancock is an extraordinary gentleman, with massive amounts of time spent in the trenches on freedom emphasized public matters. Again, we thank him from the bottom of our hearts and congratulate him on all his numerous accomplishments.

Dec. 4th

Unfortunately due to ProgressiveFlow.net supposedly missing our flight out of Denver, CO. (which we didn't, but oh well) we were unable to attend the 6:30 PM MST debate. We did however finally arrive 10:00 PM MST, and was much anticipating tomorrow's freedom driven lectures.

Dec. 5th

The summit kicked off with its founders Ernie Hancock & Marc Victor welcoming everyone out at around 8:45 MST. Then with no delay, Marc Victor delivers his keynote speech @ 9:00 – 9:45 AM discussing, from an attorney's POV, law and the legal aspect of Americans rights protected under the Bill of Rights. He provided a deep rooted lecture on Constitutional Law which involved an example case of a medicinal marijuana patient being arrested while smoking at home. Marc Victor is a Patriot!! You can find more about Marc Victor and what he does @ AttorneyForFreedom.com

[Video for this specific lecture will be available sometime after 01/01/2010]

Post a quick smoke break, which we were granted pretty frequently, (which was sooo sweet of them to respect us smokers) a true blessing was placed upon us @ 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM by way of Charles Goyette, author of The Dollar Meltdown: Surviving the Impending Currency Crisis with Gold, Oil, and Other Unconventional Investments. Mr. Goyette came through with deep insight into fiat currency, historically supporting his points that failure of the dollar is imminent and with resolve, conveying sure-fire solutions for moving your fiscal worth into tried and true investments such as gold. Our impression gave way to a sense of urgency in his statements, especially with hyper inflation destined for the dollar. Progressiveflow.net would like to personally thank Mr. Goyette for his perspective.

Next up from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM… THE MAN HIMSELF of course, none other than R-Dr. Ron Paul senator for Texas (Who we @ ProgressiveFlow.net could no longer wait to see in person), author of such books as: Revolution: A Manifesto & the newly released End The Fed. Delivering yet another driven and fluorescently bright lecture on fiat currency with emphasis on auditing, then once armed with proof of negligence, ending the fed. As we've consistently seen with Dr. Paul, his thoughts are well formulated and presented with a "common-sense" surrounded shield. Who can argue with this man?! Seriously!! His arguments are simply too sound and pile-drived with Bi-partisanship. Progressiveflow.net extends a very warm blessing to this man and his family. Cheers to carefully crafting, the Re'love'alotion and all the best to HR1207/ S 604.

After lunch we would get another powerful line-up, starting the mash-up on the topic of '2010, The Year Of…?' 2:00 – 2:45 PM was John Taylor Gato delivering a relentless talk seemingly written to be like a machine-gun of information regarding the "dumbing down" effect we've seen post 21st century in American public schooling. He placed specific points of influence around our children when he spoke regarding indoctrination that future generations must be subversive and "contained" in schools to further elitist agenda. We must applaud him simply on the grounds of having the ability to condense a greater than six hour speech down to 45 minutes, doing this all in less than 14 hours! We are amazed sir!

[Video for this specific lecture will be available sometime after 01/01/2010]

2:45 – 3:45 PM Butler Shaffer – Unfortunately we missed most of this speech due to a meeting we had with OathKeepers.org. We hope to have video or link soon as well!

[Video for this specific lecture will be available sometime after 01/01/2010]

A real treat came by way of Judge John Buttrick 4:00 – 5:00 PM Although the judges oath limits his endorsement of any type of candidate, he was free to paint his perspective on the future of the Libertarian party, which in our opinion radiated the heat of urgency as well. Stressing very uniformly that unless drastic measures are taken the party will not only be swamped but sink. Very important information presented here for all us who at least or at most subscribe to the Libertarian philosophy!

After dinner/cocktails, the gracious and highly intellectual keynote evening speaker Thomas Woods author of: Meltdown amongst other bestsellers such as: The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History & 33 Questions About American History You're Not Suppose to Ask. To our failure we had not heard of this man prior to Freedom Summit and must say this Mr. Woods nails holes into our current monetary policy like a wanted poster. He's been featured in Fox News and using a profound understanding of Austrian Monetary Theory he produces a perspective we've been doing things wrong in US monetary policy since 1910.

Dec. 6th

Having gotten some much needed rest and after dreams of Liberty grandeur, we were absolutely ready for the complimentary continental breakfast 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM followed by a wonderfully interactive speech by Boston T. Party author of: Hologram of Liberty & One Nation Under Surveillance. His POV seemed very direct, that not much can be done at this juncture and stressed a firm point of preparedness. He is a strong advocate for the FreeStateProject.org but puts emphasis more on Wyoming stating an implied WTF to New Hampshire as it sits right in the middle of what could be a target in the North East like New York or DC.

Next up, 10:00 – 11:00 AM we heard from a highly accredited political scientist specializing in philosophy of law and Constitutional Theory Joel Skousen author of such titles as: Strategic Relocation – North American Guide to Safe Places & How to Implement a High Security Shelter in the Home. Mr. Skousen appeared to us a survivalist by nature, with seemingly endless information regarding current China and Russian foreign affairs. He likened his points closely to Mr. Party's, however; stressed that you should not abandon your income stream until you can appropriately do so and agreed Wyoming was a firm choice over New Hampshire. His supreme knowledge on how to create an blast wall was amazing and we truly appreciate the receipt of that knowledge.

Immediately following Mr. Skousen from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, a dark omniscient figure by the name of Bud Burrell approached the podium dressed in all black with a demeanor that spoke he means business, up and down. Mr. Burrell is a viable Wall Street veteran who scoffs at the term "bubbles" in the market, and proposed these be called crises, and by all definition engineered. He further confirmed the notation a beast was born on Jekyll Island that reared its ugly face in 1913 by way of the Federal Reserve Act.

We were absolutely ecstatic for our 1:45 – 2:45 PM speaker and along with Dr. Ron Paul was a major factor ProgressiveFlow.net wanted to be in attendance @ Freedom Summit '09. Adam Kokesh is one BAMF! According to the girls, extremely sexy too!!!!! If you do any research into this Patriot you see immediately that he's a man of integrity, honor and intelligence. Having served tours in Iraq in the Civil Affairs Unit (the military unit responsible for the "actual" rebuilding & reconstruction of the Civilization of Iraq) he is a primary witness to the effects our occupation has had on the Iraqi people. His speech was centered around aesthetically correct, sound principles that we should have never of been ordered to occupy Iraq in the first place. We would like to extend a warm gesture of admiration to this man and having gotten to sit down to really talk with him shortly before catching our flight home, he has set forth some challenges to ProgressiveFlow.net that we have agreed to engage head on. Stay tuned, as more will come soon on this challenge. Again, thank you Adam Kokesh! Without people like you in this fight for our lives, we personally could not do what we do.

Stewart Rhodes founder of OathKeepers.org would see us off from 2:45 PM and on. He served as a U.S. Army paratrooper and is a former member of Dr. Ron Paul's DC staff. We applaud this team of individuals LOUDLY for supporting the notion we now need protection from our own military against a rogue commander and chief.

[Video for this specific lecture will be available sometime after 01/01/2010]

We would also like to thank and give a big shout out to Jordan Page for providing the soothing, freedom driven, acoustic music over the weekend. His message was as much beautiful as it was inspirational and we wish nothing but wonderful things for him and his wife! We would also like to make him an honorary member of our page as a social art warrior, more to come on this as we talk with him.

[Video of the entertainment will be available sometime after 01/01/2010]

Good News!! HR1207 back in Full Effect (for the meantime)

November 19, 2009

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Thanks to your quick action in contacting Congress, the House Financial Services Committee earlier today rejected Representative Mel Watt's attempt to hijack Audit the Fed by voting 43-26 to pass Ron Paul's amendment to the financial regulatory reform bill.

Dr. Paul called me right after the vote to personally express his thanks to C4L members for all of your efforts!

It is an incredible testament to the growing power of the liberty movement that we were able to get such an audit passed by a major House committee, but this is by no means the end of our fight.

Financial Services leadership has seemed determined for several months that if an audit of the Fed were to get out of Committee, it should be attached to an overall regulatory reform package that would actually increase the powers of the Fed to interfere in our economy.

Congressman Paul's amendment gives the Government Accountability Office power to conduct a thorough audit of the Fed's entire $2 trillion balance sheet and replaces the Watt language that would have further restricted GAO audits of the Federal Reserve.

While this is a victory over an attempted hijacking of our cause, the audit authority is still being rolled into the Financial Stability Improvement Act, a bill that Campaign for Liberty will oppose.

This Act will be voted on as soon as the Committee returns from its Thanksgiving break, and we will then know if it will move to the floor.

And it's already becoming clear <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3622323:5267031197:m:1:170872938:F1670A4E8BF5D9D6997DC6CE9DCD8FF6>  that Ron Paul's amendment may face challenges on the House floor.

Now is the time to turn up the pressure!

Keep contacting Congress <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3622324:5267031197:m:1:170872938:F1670A4E8BF5D9D6997DC6CE9DCD8FF6>  and tell your representative that before Congress debates over giving the Fed any new powers, we need to know what they're doing with the ones they already have!

Urge your representative to support a standalone, up or down vote on Audit the Fed, H.R. 1207.

We've put too much work into this effort to see an audit bogged down in yet another Washington bureaucratic nightmare.

Make no mistake, though, the victory today proved we can get the votes to pass the thorough, historic audit we've been fighting for this past year.  We have put the Federal Reserve on notice that the freedom movement is serious about reclaiming our country and that it is here to stay.

Thanks for all you do for the cause of freedom.  Now, let's finish this fight!

In Liberty,
John Tate

President
P.S. Turn up the pressure!  Tell your representative you want a standalone vote on Audit the Fed, H.R. 1207 <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3622324:5267031197:m:1:170872938:F1670A4E8BF5D9D6997DC6CE9DCD8FF6>

Subject: Urgent Action Needed to Save Audit the Fed

Dear Friend of Liberty,

We have all worked so hard to make an Audit of the Federal Reserve a reality.  Together, we have led the fight to get congressional hearings, 308 cosponsors, and unprecedented attention around the country.

Now, you and I face our biggest challenge yet.  And Ron Paul needs your help!

Mel Watt (D-NC), Chairman of the Monetary Policy Subcommittee, has sided with banking interests and is working to gut substantial audit provisions from H.R. 1207.  The bill Congressman Watt has sent to the full Financial Services Committee contains no audit of the Fed's monetary policy-making authority or transparency of the Fed's secret agreements with foreign central banks.

Without these provisions, a so-called "audit" of the Fed would be worthless.

The full Financial Services Committee is likely to vote on this bill either later this week or early next.

Congressman Paul will offer an amendment to restore the provisions contained in H.R. 1207 to audit monetary policy and activity with foreign central banks.  Thirteen of the 41 Democrats and all 29 Republicans on the Committee have cosponsored H.R. 1207, and if they hold the line, we will have the votes to win and restore our audit.

Dr. Paul has shot a YouTube video for Campaign for Liberty explaining the situation in more detail.  Click here to watch the video <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3562440:5128979226:m:1:170820215:364F07A0267FF7A46359807F850AAE12>.

Pressure on the Democrat House Financial Services Committee members is critical!  Below is a list of Democrats who have cosponsored.  Please call them and urge them to vote "Yes" on the Paul Amendment.  Click on their names to get their web contact information.

When contacting these members, remember that up to this point, these members have been allies on this issue.  A civil yet firm tone should be kept during these calls.  They should be thanked for their co sponsorship, told that Mel Watt's changes to the bill are unacceptable, and urged to hold the line and honor their promise to support transparency at the Fed by voting "Yes" for the Paul amendment.

It is also important that we contact Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and urge them to schedule a standalone, up or down vote on the real Audit the Fed bill.

Rep. Barney Frank <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3562454:5128979226:m:1:170820215:364F07A0267FF7A46359807F850AAE12> : (202) 225-5931

Speaker Nancy Pelosi <http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/ct/3562455:5128979226:m:1:170820215:364F07A0267FF7A46359807F850AAE12> : (202) 225-0100

Now is a crucial time for Audit the Fed.  If these 13 Democrats hold the line, Ron Paul and C4L can win this battle.  But, they must vote "Yes" on the Paul amendment when the full committee votes.

Together, you and I can win this fight.

In Liberty,
John Tate

Seriously now... will the injustice ever stop!

It seems that during "Bush" it was made "ok" to hold foreign countrymen for an indefinite amount of time, against their will, if it's believed they are material witnesses to a U.S. court case. Click below to review the MSNBC article.

A Sept. 11th 2001 Memoir

A Sept. 11th 2001 Memoir

Ack! Paint this scenario, a 21 year old freshmen college student who couldn’t wait to get into core programming and away from frivolous subjects such as HTML. Life was pretty mundane at the time. He had just started seeing his baby’s mama, working at the Southglen mall (assistant manager Orange Julius Baby!), and was well into the grind of college. Actually she was in college as well, so that made it busy... busy... busy. You know how that sh** goes.

The most accurate recollection of events happened like this:

___________________________________________

I was sitting in class when suddenly a facilities worker comes storming in (approximately sometime between 8:58 and 9:02 AM EST) and said a plane had hit the world trade center. Immediately I thought to myself “this guy is off his rocker”. After some brief deliberation from the class with this administrator (and having decided this guy is not bs’n), some of the classmates begin to ask if we would be dismissed to catch news coverage of the unfolding events. HERE’s the images.jpg !! We were to continue class!! WTF! I almost choked on my chili cheese Frito! It wasn’t until we found out about the second plane hitting the south WTC tower about 10 minutes later that I was like “F this!” even though if any of us left class we were being counted absent and would be responsible for the day’s lecture. I remember then leaving; regardless of the crap our professor was pouring on us and started heading home aka back to mom’s house on Delaware St. Making of course along the way, all the standard phone calls on the mobile that I think everyone made during those precious moments when nearly 3,000 lives were lost. The one to mom, the one to the girlfriend, the one to your closest friends, etc…

While driving back home, I remember feeling a brief but utter sense of helplessness. I’ve always wanted to visit New York, even possibly live, and now it had been attacked!! Sudden flashes of war anger swelled inside of me and immediately I started to run through a plan of how I could postpone college, enlist and probably be deployed in time to help catch the bastards that did this. “But who?” Is all I could think to myself? Who would/could commit such an unimaginable act?! Come to found out…………… it was “who” of course, from Whoville. You know, lives with the Who’s and drinks who-lade.

Back to a serious note, I finally get home and immediately flip on the Tele to catch the CNN breaking news story. By this time, both WTC buildings 1 & 2 had fallen. Listening intently with every ounce of my being to CNN, then out of left field CNN mentions a lesser known WTC building (7) had also fallen, due in part to the structural damage of WTC 1 & 2. Then I began to hear continuing coverage regarding two other planes that had gone down. One reportedly slammed into the Pentagon and the other seemed to have been poised to crash into the White House; however, before this other plane could hit its intended target, it was miraculously brought down by the planes passengers and crew, thus crash landing into a field in Pennsylvania. I was like HOLY F**K! WTF is going on!!

It’s now about 6:00 PM EST and I was trying to decide whether I wanted to brave a work day. Yes, you heard that correctly. Brave a work day. I was freaking the f**k out. I thought that if hijackers could somehow steal 4 planes in one day, who’s to say they haven’t stolen a hundred planes already and that this sort of gesture would start being a frequent occurrence all over the domestic U.S. -- meaning, the mall I work at could somehow go under attack (after all we’re only several hours outside of NORAD). After that irrationality subsided, I gathered myself and began the 20 minute trek to work. I was so happy to see Jessica, Shannon, Ocean, Jenny and Fred when I finally got to work. They were just as horrified as I was. Speculation began to circulate. We were able to walk down to the Tilt arcade and catch some coverage on our breaks. That was when we were informed that possibly this was the work of none other than Al Qaeda, who in just a couple of years previous had tried taking down the same building with a car bomb in the basement during Clinton’s reign.

When I got home that evening around 11:00 EST and finally got to see my baby’s mama, we talked a little about the day’s events and how this would change the face of America forever. And that it did!

__________________________________________

Since Sept. 11th 2001…

All of us have poured over the footage, digested the material and have attempted to process what little facts we were presented. We have all seen the horrendous but very courageous and heroic acts of individuals like Jonathan Riley. Who in his last seconds of life was faced with the gravest of tests? Even though making the correct decision to jump (from what looked to be greater than 38 stories) rather than be crushed by 38 stories, he would lose his life that fateful day. Progressiveflow.net vows to make his memory live on.

huerta, diaz, no doubt

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:36 AM]:
psh

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:37 AM]:

OMG

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:37 AM]:
that fights not as exciting as the other one

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:37 AM]:

who??

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:37 AM]:
eer...

its maynard huerta but dias guilard looks to be the best

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:38 AM]:

right i'm excited about both fights the diaz and huerta

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:38 AM]:
oh

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:38 AM]:

rooting both them

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:38 AM]:
I'm taking the other two

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:38 AM]:

I hate you!

‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:40 AM]:
Gray is gonna smash Huerta and Diaz is like 1/2 the size of Guillard
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:40 AM]:
guillard's brain is half the size of diaz tho
pfft
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:41 AM]:
so

brocks not nearly as smart or experienced as randy
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:42 AM]:
ok.. so..
right but randy is old too
other factors there
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:42 AM]:
randy's not even as "old" as i am
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:47 AM]:
huh?
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:49 AM]:
Randy's in better shape than most of the UFC fighters

his "old" is just made up numbers

Time is relative and thus age is meaningless
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:50 AM]:
ok, u tell randy that because even in his last couple of interviews he states "feeling old"
can't slip a freaking jab anymore, that's just age dude
sorry
he knows how
but too slow
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:51 AM]:
Who's jab?
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:52 AM]:
uh.. brock .. nog..
nog caught randy too many times for a nog fight
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:52 AM]:
He slipped most of brocks punches and against nog he should have just clinched up with him and out wrestled him

nogs a solid boxer
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:52 AM]:
blah
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:52 AM]:
he spars with silva

cmon
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:52 AM]:
blah.. nog never won a fight in pride with his boxing
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:53 AM]:
no

but that doesn't mean he can't box

just means he likes to sub
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:53 AM]:
it's just not a strong point and randy should of won that if nog wanted to box
brock wants to box that's another story.. just the mere power should want to bring him down
i just remember the days when he randy was holding his own with likes of boxers like liddel and pedro
long since past
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:56 AM]:
Nog through a lot of combo's though

you can slip 1 or 2 punches but a solid combo will still catch you unless you just get out
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:57 AM]:
i think you'd see that more with anderson tho.. i've seen that dude straight slip the whole combo
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:57 AM]:
well rich isn't the best boxer nor is forrest

forrest is actually pretty slow

forrest and rich both are just force of will fighters
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:58 AM]:
but even with that other guy that was a great boxer.. can't recall his name but the dude went down with leg injury before the fight could really get underway
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [10:59 AM]:
yeah but that had nothing to do with silva

that was just overtraining
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [10:59 AM]:
i'm a tru believer in slipping punches.. ever since I started to learn about boxing
bruce lee taught that too
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:00 AM]:
yeah if you can slip a straight or a hook by all means but if they start to throw another punch behind it then you need to get out or hit em back
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:00 AM]:
unless you're anderson silva yes
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:00 AM]:
stop them from throwing or you're gonna get caught
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:01 AM]:
or block anderson will do sometimes too
it'll go slip, slip, block, then counter from anderson
unless he's dancing then it could be slip, slip, slip until you back step then he counters
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:02 AM]:
Yeah but randy was trying to slip counter which doesn't work vs combo's with nog and a ridiculous reach with brock

well it can with brock but thats tough
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:02 AM]:
exactly
too tough to slip them anymore
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
no it would be tough for anyone to slip brocks punches
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
right
unless you're anderson
lol
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
i'm pretty sure anderson couldn't either

i'd put money that anderson would get owned by brock
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
if he takes 205 might be possible to see
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
and not by his punches but simply by brock just wrestling him down like mir
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:03 AM]:
anderson in a 250
that would be sight
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:04 AM]:
grab him, throw him down, turn face to hamburger
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:04 AM]:
hehe
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:14 AM]:
I may have to root for shane he's a denva boi!
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:16 AM]:
amen.. just another reason i like him
he's the biggest smallest heavyweight i've ever seen
he'll be like reno to brock's vegas
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:17 AM]:
He looks like he's gassed after 1 round

he better be working on his conditioning
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:19 AM]:
yeah.. don't know if we've seen him do a 3 rounder
definitely not a 5
‎‎Phil C‎‎ [11:22 AM]:
I'll root for shane but I'd put my money on brock
‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:23 AM]:
lol
i feel the same

MiMoSa @ Beta BeatPort Lounge 08/14/09

A Progressiveflow.net review~

First off, great show Basslabs!! What a blasty!!

The show in reality kicked off @ 6pm MST with a very relaxed and informative Ableton v8.0 demonstration workshop, led by Crowd Rock. Having never used Ableton before, Cacheflowe's presentation was something we were really interested in. Once Cacheflow had the floor, he immediately showed us just how simple it really is to navigate Ableton menus, finding the options you're looking for by way of keyboard shortcuts. EX: Clicking a warp marker, then doing CTRL +A to select all of them then DEL key to delete all of them. During his demonstration he allowed us to watch him produce a track, teaching us essentially what he does each step of the way and within seconds he had created a pretty banging glitch/dub loop. The second half of Cacheflowe's discussion was based completely around the built-in Midi controller for Ableton (very deep dish, which was awesome) and how when the instruments are used in conjunction with your tracks, you can actually produce some pretty cool sounds and loops.

Finally @ last, the DJ sets kicked off around 9pm MST. S.P.E.C.T.R.E would be charged with wrecking the mid leg of the show and that he did! He immediately came correct with dark and grimey sounds interlaced with dreadlock beats for what we at progressiveflow now call Rhasta Dub Core. With no disappointments there, and S.P.E.C.T.R.E holding it down for womp lovers everywhere, the Beatport Lounge really started to pack up. Word must have gotten out that MiMoSa was in town because within minutes it was wall to wall bang'n. This lead the way for the uber surprise set of the evening. Pulling up the anchor spot for the local support sets, Crowd Rock aka Jason Roth aka The Juice OMG tore it up! Every time we hear or see this kid he brings something new to the table, this time was no different and it came in the form of wobbly midi's stitched together with top 40 glitch and dubstep. These beats were a perfect segway for the main event and The Juice really got the whole crowd sideways in anticipation for MiMoSa.

Now it was starshine time! Having gotten the extreme privilege of meeting and chilling with MiMoSa minutes before his set, we were way stoked for him go on. This brand new 21 year old is indeed one of the most chillest human beings you could ever meet and his ear for good sound is second to none. He threw down the most rhythmic, thrashiest set most newcomers probably have ever heard, with one of his awesome climaxes appearing in the way of "Dirty Dirty Diamond" that had us and the crowd absolutely throbbing with head bobs and hand bangs. What a great energy from the crowd and what a great energy radiating off MiMosa. It was an absolutely fantastic set and easily squashed any over-hype he might of received after reportedly taking or at least rivaling Bassnectar for set of the weekend Sonic Bloom 2009. With him having nothing but good things to say about the place and people of Denver, Colorado; we have made him an honorary member of progressiveflow.net and hope when he comes back possibly in November he would oblige us with an interview.

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:13 AM]: LOL

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:13 AM]: hell yeah bj penn

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:13 AM]: it was pretty one sided

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:14 AM]: way proud of that hawaii'n

no doubt

penn looked great

so good

those new shorts were sweet too

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:14 AM]: yeah I thought better strategy than the shorts

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:16 AM]: Forrest was like Gump...Run Forrest run

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:16 AM]: LOL

Totally the running joke today

omg "RUN FOREST"

wtf was up with that?

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:17 AM]: he quit

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:17 AM]: straight up

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:17 AM]: no tap out nothing

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:17 AM]: couldn't take the heat of the spider

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:17 AM]: at least fake like you got knocked out

silva had his hands down the whole time...and connected on every punch

hes ridiculous

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:18 AM]: he's the man ridiculous

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:18 AM]: GSP needs to go up and get him

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:18 AM]: amen

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:19 AM]: GSP would need to get him on the ground

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:19 AM]: I know what silva does.. but all fighters i think are too chicken s"t now to do what needs to be done

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:19 AM]: GSP and Silva need to settle who is the best pound for pound

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:19 AM]: I SMELL MEGA FIGHT

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:20 AM]: Dana needs to get to the point already

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:20 AM]: LOL

First silva is climbing 205 that's for sure + defend 185 then i think then if loses one @ 205 dana says ok lets get this gsp vs silva out of the way at catch weight 180

mega fight first too I think with machida vs silva?? thoughts

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:22 AM]: who in 205 can beat silva....they would have to find middle ground for GSP and Silva......GSP/Silva.....Brock/Fedor....massive card

yeah I was just thinking that...thats good...Machida is solid

plus the story that they are training partners right?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:23 AM]: machida and silva are friends tho!

more than that i think

they co-own blackhouse traning facility together

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:24 AM]: silva says he wants to fight the best fighter....if thats Machida then hes got to do it

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:24 AM]: get er done

hehe

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:24 AM]: silva should be on the next fight card....you can't really call Sat a fight

that wasn't even a sparring session...didn't even get touched

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:25 AM]: right

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:25 AM]: sorry I'm greedy

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:25 AM]: me 2 I agree with you completely

that would be getting back to the roots of UFC where guys if could would fight 2-3 fights

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:26 AM]: LOL...well I'm sure $ plays a factor...suck it out now that they got pay per view

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:28 AM]: "Brock/Fedor....massive card" fedor never made it

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:28 AM]: crying over million

millions

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:29 AM]: nah.. that whole M-1 debacle

sad really

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:29 AM]: who can challenge Brock?

once that beast lays on you its over

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:30 AM]: but good news.. is diaz failed to show up for strike force drug test.. which strikeforce is who fedor went with cuz they will co sponsor events with M-1 so hopefully strikeforce drowns soon really only leaving UFC left

possibly kimbo is what i'm thinking these days

without fedor he's like the best hope

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:30 AM]: kimbo from you tube?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:30 AM]: and from cbs

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:30 AM]: is that guy know any MMA?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:30 AM]: Brb

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:31 AM]: k

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:41 AM]: needed to swab a couple emails out ack

SFlow‎‎ [11:41 AM]: Yeah, kimbo knows MMA he's just not all that pro yet IMO. He had a couple lame fights with CBS and got knocked out in like 14 seconds in one by a no namer

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:41 AM]: any good fights on the next ufc?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:43 AM]: huerta got put back to a ufc fight night hehe

portland oregon checking in aug29

oh yeah mia vs marquardt

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:43 AM]: Franklin vs belfort in the one after

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:44 AM]:

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:52 AM]: taking a closer look at that next card i'm actually more impressed.. of course some big names have taken some big losses as of late to not so big of names and dana's showing what he likes to do with losers! Back to the under cards for u buddy.

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:52 AM]: LOL....you think the next one is going to be good?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:53 AM]: wouldn't say good but better having reviewed the entire card

I'm really excited for the marquardt fight

winner really decides who fights anderson next @ 185

that division is so stacked but anderson slices through like butta

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:54 AM]: man among boys

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:54 AM]: no doubt

‎‎Corey W‎‎ [11:54 AM]: what do you think about ufc 103?

‎‎SFlow‎‎ [11:56 AM]: smaller guys

all small guys

but that's ok too

franca finally getting back in the cage is kind of weird

guys been out for like 2 years

griffin should pwn him

koscheck really needs a win here so trigg is nice

we all swick

swick-a-tine
